I’ve always loved experimenting with my style. If you’ve been a reader of Love, Maisie for a while, you’ll know that I often used to share outfit of the days posts and style boards. The style side of this blog took a little hiatus
whilst I was pregnant
as I found it really hard to style myself whilst I was growing a human and then being post partum, I had a completely different body to work with.
I’ve finally started to embrace my post partum
body and have found my love for style again and I couldn’t be happier! Sure, my body isn’t the shape that it used to be and it probably never will be(hello hips, I’m looking at you)
but I’m starting to feel more confident in my own skin which I’m finally able to reflect in my choice of style.
This first look is probably my favourite of the three that I’m going to show you today. Denim jackets have always been something that I’d have loved to style, I’ve just struggled to find the right one, until now. This gorgeous oversized, distressed denim jacket is exactly what I’ve been looking for and I can’t wait to style it up this autumn winter. The quality of it is something you’d find costing you upwards of £70-£80 but it’s in fact only £37 from WearAll. It’s a really thick, high quality denim and I know it’s going to last me for ages!
I think a denim jacket is the perfect piece for layering at this time of year and it goes with pretty much anything. I can’t wait to play around with looks with this jacket and share them on the blog.
On this particular occasion I’ve teamed my new favourite jacket with this khaki green dip hem bat wing top(£14) which is another piece that will go with so many items that I already have in my wardrobe. It’s long enough to wear with leggings and cover your backside(I just can’t stand wearing leggings and having my butt on show!) and it’s super flattering with jeans also.

If you’d have told me that I’d be wearing this outfit six months ago, I’d have laughed in your face. At first, I was a little apprehensive about cracking out a crop top but I think paired with these gorgeous dusky pink trousers(£24) it’s actually a really flattering look for my post baby body. I think the pleated waist is what makes this piece so flattering and I’d love to see how you’ve style this trend? I was concerned that these may be see through, but as you can see, they’re not! The material is fairly thick and well lined so there’s nothing showing that you don’t want to.
I don’t “dress up” that often anymore but this is an outfit that I’ll be rocking on a date night.. and any other excuse I can make to wear these trousers because a, they’re ridiculously comfy and b, bloody gorgeous!
This white boho themed crop top is another item that will go with most pieces in my wardrobe, both in autumn/winter and spring/summer. It is long sleeved, I’ve just pulled them up my arm slightly, so you don’t have to wear a layer over the top, but of course, living in England, I do strongly recommend taking a jacket with you.
Sydney Striped Off Shoulder Floral Top – WearAll*
I’m so guilty of grabbing a pair of leggings and a baggy t-shirt to wear around the house. Don’t get me wrong, some days there is nothing better than comfy and slouchy outfits, but being a work from home mama, I find that getting dressed into something nice, even if I’m not leaving the house, can make me feel a whole lot better. This top is such a pretty little number. I adore the lace detail and the fact that it’s off the shoulder makes me feel quite sexy.
If that wasn’t enough, it’s super duper comfortable. The arms and waist band are elasticated but not tight which makes going about my daily mum life easy peasy. There’s nothing worse than wearing something restrictive when you’re constantly picking up a 20lb+ baby all day is there.
This top is currently available in navy blue and pink for £14 each.(I think I’m going to have to order the pink one now too!)

I hope you’re glad to see a bit of personal style back on the blog, I certainly had an amazing time putting this post together and like I’ve mentioned about three times now, I can’t wait to get more style posts back on the blog! I’d love to see some of your recent style posts if you’ve shared any for inspiration?
WearAll currently offer free UK delivery when you spend over £40, so what are you waiting for? I’d love to know if you’ve already style any of these pieces or if you’re going to and treat yourself to a new outfit after reading this? PS, you totally should.
