It’s been so, so long since I posted an outfit of the day! They’re my favourite posts to publish but I just never have the time! You might be thinking, surely, all she has to do is slap a bit of make up on, pop a couple items together and take a few photos. Okay, that’s sort of what happens, but it takes time to get ready anyway, add that to finding something to wear and then finding the right pieces to go with it and then roping some sorry lad(thanks babe) into taking the photos for you, then editing them. It’s a lengthy process.
I work 40+ hours a week in full time employment so i’m roughly out of the house for 10 hours a day between commuting and work. So by the time I get home it’s usually half past seven in the evening, meaning by the time I re dress, it would be dark outside. On my days off(I mostly have two days off but sometime’s only one) I need to catch up with all the housework and such, do you see why I find it hard to get #ootd’s done? Blogging in general for that matter!
So less complaining Maisie, let’s talk about the outfit! Seeing as it’s March, I thought i’d be sharing a lovely, bright, spring-esk look but sadly, the weather’s a little crap at the moment, so wrapping up is still sort of essential!
I bagged this gorgeous dress in Primark back in January, I think it cost around £12? Bargain! It’s thick enough to keep you warm but not too thick that you’re sweating out buckets withing five minutes of putting it on. I think what sold me was the collar, yes, i’m still a sucker for a good collar!
I thought this dress would look perfect with my beautiful Fedora(I really don’t think it’s a fedora but I can’t find the right term for this hat, someone help!?) that my mum treated me to from a little Vintage store. Isn’t it beautiful!? It’s a lush, forest green colour with a little gold buckle on the right side, which, well done Maisie, you can’t see in these photos, but i promise it’s there! It makes me feel really sophisticated!
I picked up this bag in peacocks a couple of weeks ago because, believe it or not, I was in desperate need of a new everyday handbag. Probably not the best choice of colour as we’re rolling into the spring now but hey-ho, I love a bit of burgundy and the gold hardware adds a lovely little touch to it too. I love it! It cost me £18 which I think is a pretty decent price for a handbag. The quality of the material is pretty good, the only downfall is that the little pin that holds the handle on the buckle keeps falling out! I’m just too lazy/don’t have time to go back and exchange it.
My little khaki boots are actually from Peacocks too, but EONS ago. I think I wore them in one of my very first outfit posts back in 2013?! I honestly don’t know how i’ve managed to keep them in such good condition after over two years!
Last but not least is this awesome little necklace that I picked up from Little Witch a month or so ago. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the best time when ordering with them, but thankfully the products I ordered are all beautiful! One of them being this gorgeous silver plated heart necklace! It was only £7, bargain! They’ve also got a rib cage which is equally as awesome!

I also filmed a mini lookbook for this outfit, because why not! I really need to get better at editing videos so let’s call this good practice, haha! What do you think of this outfit? Love it or leave it? I hope you’ve all had a wonderful day!
