If you missed my week 38 bump update, you can catch it right here.

Bump update | Week 39 | Pregnancy Update | Love, Maisie

I’m sure you’re all sick of hearing me say this, but believe me this time if any when I say that week 39 was tough.. really tough. Last week I talked about some pelvic pain that I was having and it’s legit made my life a living hell for the past week and half/two weeks now. My midwife told me that it’s extremely likely to be spd(I’ve since seen a consultant and it is, boo) but holy hell is it painful. It’s gotten to the point where I can’t get up and out of bed on my own because it’s simply just too painful.. and even with help I’m often in tears trying to stand up and walk to the bathroom. So yes.. this week has been tough.

We all know that being pregnant hasn’t exactly been my cup of tea to say the least, but when you can’t even get your own knickers on in the morning, it’s pretty mentally challenging. I’m a 22 year old woman who’s always done everything for herself.. I’m stubborn and determined and often very reluctant to take anybody’s help, but this week I’ve had to ask Jack and my mum to pretty much do everything for me.

On a brighter note, we’re totally ready for this little fella to arrive now! We’ve even got all of his 0-3 months clothes washed and folded away in the draws for when he grows out of his newborn bits! I figured since I have so much time on my hands now, I might as well make the most of it! I get so so happy when I see all of his little outfits hanging out to dry, they’re all so tiny and sweet. I still can’t quite fathom that he’ll soon be here and wearing all of them!

In theory, this could be my last bump update, eek! It was our due date on Wednesday(January 25th) but of course, baby Corbett is still yet to make his appearance! I posted a little letter to baby Corbett on Wednesday, which received such an amazing response from everyone, I am so pleased! If you missed it you can find it just here. I still have some pregnancy related blog posts coming up, so keep your eyes peeled for those! I thought I should probably put a little directory list together of all my bump updates too, so here you go!

And just like that, we’re nearly there! The finish line is in sight! Make sure you’re following me on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook so that you know when little baby Corbett has safely arrived into the world! Once again, thank you to each and every one of you that has read, shared and commented on any of my pregnancy/baby blog posts so far! It’s been so overwhelming to have so much support from you all on this rather tough journey.. Thank you ?

  1. I know the feeling when you need to ask help for everything you're trying to do! It makes me feel so lazy, when it's more likely the stuff I've always been able to do myself. And also, that pelvic pain – holy shit I can relate! I had my doc's appointment few days ago & it took me incredibly long to walk into that room from the waiting room. That's been going on with me for about a week now and I'm so full of it already. Can't wait for this baby to come out soon lol 😀 few more weeks…
You don't have to wait long anymore! I'm so excited for you 🙂 I hope everything goes fine 🙂
