As women, we go through a lot to make ourselves feel and look our best. Not that men don’t put effort into their looks, but in society, we are expected to ‘groom’ ourselves much more than men are. I’ve compiled a list of things you can do to make yourself feel and look stunning that you can add to your beauty regime.

Whatever your hair type, it’s always a good idea to keep it in the best condition possible. Regular trims from your hairdresser will prevent split ends from getting any worse.

Treating your hair after washing it with argan oil will keep your hair soft and strong. Using hair treatments before washing will benefit your hair. Doing this once monthly should suffice, and it’s a great excuse to pamper the rest of your body at the same time too. Some hair treatments can be left in overnight so that when you shower it off in the morning, your hair will feel and look fabulous.

It’s not just looking after the hair on our heads that we have to do either, removing unwanted hair from armpits, eyebrows, legs and bikini areas is something most of us desire to do. Shaving can harm your skin if you’re a little careless, and waxing is super painful. Hair removal cream is a painless way of removing unwanted hair, but don’t use this around sensitive areas like your eyes, mouth, and genitals. It also lasts longer than shaving, and your hair doesn’t come back as stubbly. If your skin is sensitive to hair removal cream or you would prefer to shave, why not check out Friction Free Shaving!

We have so many options on the market for a skin nowadays that it can be hard to know which one to choose. It’s always best to go for the products that are natural and have no chemicals which can harm your skin. Moisturise daily and after showering/bathing to restore natural oils to your skin.

With makeup products, try not to cake your face in it every day. Be sure to give your face a rest and time to breathe. Doing this will prevent breakouts of acne and dry skin. Staying hydrated will also benefit your skin.

Do be careful about dangerous beauty treatments for your skin. The skin is a sensitive organ and takes time to repair. Using unsafe products can lead to premature ageing of the skin, stretch marks, burns, and scars.

There’s nothing better than a fresh manicure/pedicure, so why not save some money and invest in a home nail kit. This could be acrylic or gel nail kits. It’s very relaxing to do, and once you’ve mastered it, you could even host girly nights and have pamper evenings. Read ingredients in the products you’re buying though, and make sure they’re not harmful.
Finally, even though society dictates that we should do these things, don’t feel pressured into anything. Every person is different, and everyone is beautiful in their own way. Embrace your beauty!
