HOME ACCESSORIES UNDER £10 | Love, Maisie | www.lovemaisie.com
Living in rented accommodation can make it really hard to personalise your home and have it to reflect your style. For this reason, or whether you’re just looking to add a bit more style on a budget, I’ve decided to share some gorgeous home accessories that are all £10 or under.

First up, I’ll talk about the plants. I can’t imagine our flat without it’s greenery. I find that having fresh flowers and house plants dotted around our home not only adds a nice pop of colour but makes the atmosphere of our home feel relaxed and tranquil(all though, with a 6 month old baby also residing here, it’s not always so). In fact, they don’t even have to be real plants, fakery is much easier to maintain.
You can pick up inexpensive houseplants from almost anywhere, including supermarkets. The hanging plant pot above is only £6.95 from RoseandGrey. All you need to do is pot your favourite houseplant inside! There are normally some really good deals on small houseplants at places like Tesco and B&Q.
For the fakery, again you can find these pretty much anywhere. This grass plant pot is from Matalan and it will cost you just £10. I’ve even seen similar ones in Primark for just a couple of pounds.
At just £5.50, this little glass and zinc planter is perfect for a cactus or succulent. Succulents are “in fashion” are I don’t see them going out of style anytime soon. You could try popping to your local garden centre to pick some up, or even IKEA!

Keeping on the topic of flowers, you don’t have to use a vase as a vase. Why not try using something else that you may already have at home? Or one of these containers or jugs from H&M, priced at just £8.99 each. Traditional glass vases can cost in excess of £20, so try something like these instead.
I actually picked up two of these grey table lamps from Wilko for our bedroom a couple of months ago. They were so cheap at just £5. There are a variety of colours of this style available on the Wilko website, including the duck egg blue shade. You could easily place one of these lamps in the living room also. I have this thing where I prefer a lamp to light the house in the evening instead of the ceiling light.. I don’t know where that stems from but hey ho.
Speaking of using something for other than it’s purpose, a great way to accessorise a bedroom or dressing table is with your jewellery storage. A bowl, small dish or cup can add a little quirk to a room and they’re an ideal place to keep dainty earrings and necklaces. This snazzy gold bowl is just £3.99. The porcelain plate is a steal at just £2.99 and available in white. You could even use this pink cup as a make up brush or toothbrush holder. Grab one here for £8.99.(Also available in dark green)
Cushions and cushion covers are probably one of my favourite things to add to a room to give it a whole new lease of life, covers especially, as you can switch them up seasonally or just whenever you fancy a change. If you hadn’t already noticed, I’m a lover all things deemed “cute” so these cushion covers are right up my street! The cat, owl and rabbit design are all £6.99 each, steal!
You don’t need to spend a lot to have nice accessorises in your home. Shop around and shop the sales too, especially in places like TKMaxx and Homesense! I hope this post has inspired you to bag yourself a bargain!
