Ah advent calendars, one of my favourite things about Christmas. I do love a cheeky square of chocolate each morning but I’m not impartial to something a little bit different either. There are so many brands coming out with amazing advent calendars this year, more than I’ve ever seen, from jewellery to prosecco and gin to brussel sprouts! So today I thought I’d share with you 5 alternative advent calender’s to your traditional milk chocolate ones that are all £35 or under!
Originally priced at £24, this isn’t only a half price bargain but a gorgeous 12 piece set of 8ml perfumes! With scents like lime & ginger, bergamot & cucumber and chocolate, there really sounds like there is something for everyone. The actual calendar itself is a super pretty design that I think would look lovely in the living room or on your dressing table.
If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you’ll know that I used to make soap for a living! I love soap and all of the lovely bath products that you can pick up from almost anywhere now! This 24 day bath bomb and soap advent calendar would make a lovely gift to someone(or to yourself!) and I bet the 12 squares of soap would look super cute on a dish in the bathroom! What makes this even better is that it’s cruelty free, woohoo yay animals!
This next one is my favourite advent calendar in today’s post and I’ve never seen anything like it! This 12 day advent calendar allows you to make your very own charm bracelet and necklace. Again, this would make a really lovely gift as you can also have personalised text written on the packaging such as the persons name or a seasonal message. The advent calendar comes complete with a set of mini jewellery pliers, a bracelet AND necklace chain along with all your charms and jump rings to attach said charms. For £20, I’d say that’s one great bargain!
I saw Marks and Spencer’s beauty advent calendar last year and I really regretted not purchasing one, so this year I think I’m going to be treating myself to this ever so dreamy one! This year’s M&S beauty advent calendar contains products that come to the grand total of £250 but it only costs you £35 when you spend £35 on another purchase! With brands include Stila, Nuxe and Ren, it’s a no brainier really. Plus, isn’t the little Christmas house gorgeous?
I’ve saved the best for last here and also in my opinion, the most different! I’ve never come across anything quite like this as an advent calendar! I mean, chocolate is great and all but.. unicorns? Damn, I’m sold already. Within this adorable unicorn stationary advent calendar you will find 24 separate, numbered envelopes all with a different unicorn themed card inside. How frigging adorable is that? You could keep all of the cards and frame and display them, or you could use them to send cute notes to your pals over the festive season!
If I had to chose just one of these advent calendars as a gift for someone, I think I’d go with the charm bracelet making kit as it’s such a neat idea! But if I were going to buy for myself, it would most definitely be the M&S beauty advent calendar for the purely immense great value for money! But so far, I’ve only bought myself a chocolate one, oops! Will you be grabbing an alternative advent calendar this year? Are there any that you’ve spotted that you think I’d love as much as these? Let me know!
