Fa la la la la, la la la la! If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you’ll know that I bloody love Christmas. It really is the most wonderful time of the year! Last week, the lovely Lyndsay of FizzyPeaches tagged me to do The Christmas Tag which I’ve seen doing the rounds so I’m really pleased that it’s finally my turn to talk all things Christmas!
So, without further ado!
What’s your favourite Christmas movie?
ELF, of course! This was Lyndsay’s answer too but it really is such a great movie. I remember when I was about 12 or 13 I watched Elf every single night for a solid three months.. probably even longer. The best way to spread Christmas cheer, is singing loud for all to hear.
Have you ever had a white Christmas?
Not that I remember it, but from seeing photos I’m pretty sure that my first Christmas was a white one.
Where do you usually spend your holiday?
Just at home, no where else I’d rather be!
What’s your favourite Christmas song?
ALL OF THEM. I love Christmas music and I don’t think I could pick just one, so have two: Troika and Last Christmas by Wham! are my go-to’s
Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?
I’ve never done this, but I’m thinking of joining in on the Christmas Eve box malarkey that seems to be the new trend! I love the idea of having a little box of fun, Christmassy themed bits and pieces in to do as a family.
Can you name all of the reindeer?
YES! I can sing it to you! You know Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comit, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, but do you recalllllll, the most famous reindeer of all?
What holiday traditions are you looking forward to this year?
It’s our first Christmas as a family of three, so just the entire experience to be honest. I’m actually in the middle of writing up a post all about some Christmas traditions that I’m excited to try out this year as a family, so keep your eyes peeled for that coming on Friday!
Is your Christmas tree real or fake?
I’ve always loved the idea of having a real Christmas tree but I’ve never gotten around to having one, so it’s fake all the way for us!
What’s your favourite holiday food/treat/sweet?
I’ve never really thought too much about this one, probably because most Christmas food isn’t vegan, but I suppose anything chocolate is tastiest at this time of year. Didn’t you know, the calories don’t count in December!
Be honest. Do you prefer giving or receiving gifts?
100% giving! Especially when you’ve got someone something you know they’ve been lusting over for a long time! This year is my most budget Christmas ever so I haven’t been able to go as over the top as I usually would, but it’s actually been really nice to get something small for each person in my family, I can’t wait to see their reactions to some of them!
What’s the best Christmas present you’ve ever received?
When I was around 10 Santa brought me a full sized keyboard, which is still at my mums house, and I was so bloody excited about it, I think I spent the next four months playing My Heart Will Go On on repeat.. I think my mum had to have words with Mr. Claus.
What’s your dream place to visit for the holiday season?
I’ve never really thought about travelling at Christmas time, but as I’ve just read Lyndsay’s post I’m going to steal her answer, New York! It always looks so grand during the festive season!
Are you a pro present wrapper or do you fail miserably?
Total pro! Well, I like to think so anyway. I love wrapping presents, it’s one of my favourite parts about Christmas!
What’s your most memorable Christmas memory?
To be honest every Christmas is just so wonderful! But I asked my mum about this one and she reminded me about when we used to live in Richmond(the one in Yorkshire) and we would go to the Christmas carol’s in church and the Christingle services. There would be a band and singing and a mini pantomime type thing, ahhhh to be a kid again!
What made you realise the truth about Christmas?
I see what you’re getting at here Mr. tag, but I’ve met Mr Claus in the flesh, so there’s no kidding me!
What makes the holidays special for you?
Where do I start. The love, the magic, the lights, the time spent with family. I really mean it when I say that it’s the most wonderful time of the year.
What are you most looking forward to at Christmas this year? If you’ve not already done this tag then I tag you to join in! I also tag:
