Last year I filmed a little room tour of Tyler’s nursery(which you can watch here if you missed it!) but seeing as we’re in a different house now, I thought it would be nice to show you what Tyler’s nursery looks like here too. Of course, we still have most of the same items(furniture etc) but I thought it might be nice to show how we’ve style things a little different now that Tyler is a bit older.

I know it’s not the most “pinterest” worthy nursery in the world, but it’s probably my favourite room in the entire house. Most of the items in it are things that have been kindly handed down to us or bought as gifts from family and friends and I think that’s what makes it feel so special.

This little set up is probably my favourite corner of the room. We have Tyler’s world map canvas hung up above his dresser, which is scattered with books, prints and other little nick-naks. Over the past year, we seem to have collected an enormous stash of books and I am so glad that we have! I’ve always loved reading and I’m hoping that by reading to Tyler often that he will become a little book worm too. Some of our favourite baby books include Oi Frog!, Ten Little Dinosaurs and all of the Julia Donaldson books!

The little giraffe print is from the lovely Jemma’s etsy shop Dorkface and I actually bought it when I was pregnant with Tyler. The frame is just one that I picked up in Poundland last year and I think it’s a super pretty frame for just a quid!

Some other notable items include an adorable Winnie the Pooh memory box that Tyler received from my mum for his first birthday, two star lights that were both hand-me-downs from Jack’s sister and mum and a teeny tiny grey teddy(that’s actually fallen over and is laying on his back, oops!) that my dear friend Amanda made and sent to us when Tyler was born.

I like to think that some of these little decorative details are what make Tyler’s room look so.. well, damn cute! If you’re just here for the photos, then my apologies, I’m about to tell you all about each item pictured above.. in depth!

The adorable Winnie the Pooh prints were a couple of charity shop bargains that I bought back in 2015 on a whim when I was out shopping with my mum. At the time, I wasn’t pregnant nor was I expecting to be anytime soon, I just liked them and knew that I needed them. Here they are, two and a half years later, proudly hanging in my sons bedroom, madness!

The moon wall light is from IKEA. I can’t remember how much it cost but it was around(or under?) the £10 mark and I’m pretty sure they had a couple of versions, including the moon, a cloud and a heart. So something for everyone really!

The gorgeous be brave little one print was a gift to Tyler for his first birthday from our lovely friends Tim and Molly. It’s by far my favourite print in the room and it works perfectly colour wise with the bunting that I found in Aldi last year for around £2, yes I like a bargain!

The little adventurer wall stickers are another Aldi bargain and when I was last there a couple of days ago, they still had some left, priced down to just 49p! There was quite a wide range of designs available but I thought this little mountain range and bear design worked well with the items that we already had in Tyler’s room.

We are so lucky to have so many wonderful friends and family around us. Tyler’s cot was passed down to us from one of Jack’s childhood friends brothers! We didn’t have an abundance of money when we were expecting Tyler, to be honest we still don’t ha, so it was so lovely to be given such a gorgeous cot. It saved us upwards of £100 and it’s done just as well as a brand new one would have! We will probably keep a hold of this cot once Tyler moves into a toddler bed in case we go on to have any more children(which, wont be happening for a while yet folks!)

I have always loved teddies. I blame my mother and my nana because they do too, so it’s no surprise that Tyler has ended up with a literal mountain of teddies in the corner of his room! I’m sure this will continue to grow as I’m as bad as my mum when it comes to buying soft toys, #sorrynotsorry

The giraffe rug was a gift from my mum and I’m pretty sure it’s an Aldi special! She did buy it a long time ago but I’ve seen similar rugs in Aldi recently, including a super soft teddy bear one which I 100% think I need to go back and buy.. a room can have more than one rug, right?!

So what do you think? Do you love Tyler’s nursery as much as we do? I honestly think that Tyler’s room shows that you don’t need to spend lots and lots of money to have a gorgeous nursery, don’t you? I’d love to see your little one’s rooms if you’ve shared any blog posts or insta snaps of them? Leave me your links below!
