How we are now in September is beyond me. October is just around the corner, which means Halloween is near and then before we know it, it will be Christmas. I can’t believe I’ve just mentioned the C word in the middle of summer. I digress. August, you’ve been good to us.

You can read my Little Love of July post here.

Last month I said I’d started reading The Night Circus and I’m yet to finish it! That’s for two reasons, one of them being that I’ve had a busy month and haven’t had much time to dedicate to reading but I also started reading Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine last week and I’m hooked! I’m about 1 third through it now and I just love it! Gail Honeyman’s writing style is gripping and really drawing me into the story.

I keep telling myself that I’m going to stop watching the soaps, but I just can’t give them up! I’m really excited to see what happens with Lachlan in Emmerdale this month! I hope he’s finally caught out as I feel like it’s been going on for far too long now. BBC began showing a show called “Age Before Beauty” that I watched religiously all month. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone that’s just started watching it, but it’s basically about a wife that finds out her husband is having an affair and it’s a really twisty plot! 10/10 recommend. I’ve been telling all the girls at work about it and so naturally now I’m shouting about it on the internet!

I’ve watched a lot of the Saccone-Joly vlogs in the last few weeks. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll have heard the news that their fourth child recently arrived into the world and what a little beauty he is! There’s something so magical about watching people’s vlogs with newborns.. maybe it just takes me back to the early days with Tyler!

Last week I sharedย this blog post of the delicious vegan brownies that I’d made. The post seems to have gone down well and everyone who tried them has said they love them. Apart from that, I’ve not done an awful lot of making this month.. I’m assuming that Tyler’s dinner every night doesn’t count as it’s a necessity haha.

Sadly, I’ve no outfit photos this month. It’s been a weird one weather wise. Some days in August I was wearing skimpy dresses and others I’ve been bundled into jumpers and jeans. This is what a British summer is really like, cold one day, warm the next, it drives me made to be honest. It has made me excited to dig out all of my chunky knits though in the coming months. I did manage to wear my denim jacket a couple of times which again, has made me super excited for autumn/winter!

Jack recently picked up a copy of Paramore’s album Brand New Eyes and we’ve had it on repeat in the car. I’ve actually just ordered a copy of Riot! for the car also, so I’m sure that’ll be on my little loves again next month. Surprise surprise I’m still listening to Don Broco A LOT. Fall Out Boy have just dropped a couple of new tracks(one of which is a new recording of an old demo) and I’m living for the Infinity On High vibes it’s giving me. You can listen to the EP here.

I want to get back into podcasts so if you have any recommendations then be sure to let me know in the comments.

and lastly

Tyler and I have been getting out the house a lot more this month thanks to making some new friends! It’s been so nice to have some day time conversation with someone who is completely on my level. And of course, it’s lovely for Tyler to be making a friend of his own too!
