Unless you’re new around here, you’ll know that autumn is my favourite of all the seasons. I actually shared an autumn tag a couple of years ago(which you can read here if you like) but last week Lottie over at SimplyTogether tagged me in a newer version of the post as part of her blogtober series, so of course I had to partake! I was also just tagged by the lovely Amy of BecomingMumsy in a similar post which you can see here.
What signifies the start of autumn to you?
When the leaves start to turn bright, bold shades of red, yellow and orange, that’s the moment I can breathe in the autumn air around me and really feel like my favourite time of the year has begun.
Best way to spend a rainy day?
I’ve recently got back into reading so cosying up on the sofa with a hot chocolate or coffee and a good book is my kind of rainy day in! Of course, with a small child in tow, Cbeebies will no doubt be on the tele to keep my little human entertained!
Your most fond autumn memory?
The first one that springs to mind is probably when Jack took me to Virginia Water back in 2015. It’s a beautiful man made lake and park just outside of Windsor. We spent a good few hours there just talking about life and soaking up the natural beauty, which of course in early November, was still oh so beautiful.
Favourite autumn scent?
Does cinnamon count as an autumn scent or is it more Christmas specific? During autumn all of the Christmasy scents start to emerge anyway so I’d say that’s fair.
What are you most excited for this autumn?
We’re already a way into autumn this year but I’m really excited for the clocks to turn back an hour soon, is that strange? Lighter mornings and darker evenings, there’s just something so welcoming about it don’t you think?
Favourite autumn movie?
Have you seen To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before? Because that’s the only thing springing to mind right now but I’m really not sure why!
What TV shows are you looking forward to this autumn?
Jack and I have just watched The Haunting of Hill House and absolutely adored it. I’ve also just seen the finale of The Cry and thoroughly enjoyed that too but honestly, I’ve not got any other shows lined up to watch yet, so be sure to send me your Netflix recommendations!
Favourite autumn colour?
Normally I’m all for the orangey tones but this year I am more in love with mustard than I’ve ever been, aren’t you?
Favourite autumn fashion trend?
I’ve got to agree with Lottie, you can’t go wrong with a good knitted jumper at this time of year! My wardrobe is full of them and I’m so happy that I’m able to crack them all out again now it’s colder!
Your most loved outdoor autumn activity?
I’d like to say it’s pumpkin picking but I’ve actually never been!(am I even a REAL blogger?!) This time last year Tyler wasn’t walking so now that he is, we’ve spent many an afternoon running through big piles of leaves together and kicking them up and Tyler absolutely adores it.
